Hi [CLIENT], Below are some things we need to know in order to set up your eCommerce website. NOTE: If you are wanting to receive payments via credit card on your site, I would suggest applying immediately to a payment gateway as this may take some time. You can see the list below in the section Payment Methods. CategoriesWhat type of products are you selling online? Group them into categories and if needed sub-categories. A product category is a way to organise products in your store by the type of products you sell. For example, if you sell electronic products then your categories might be: - Computers
- Televisions
- Projectors
- Speakers
- Phones
Product OptionsDo any of your products that you are selling online have different options such as sizes and colours? If so, Do you want to display each option combination (i.e. Large Pink Teddy Bear) individually so they are all displayed in the list view? Would you like just one record (i.e. Teddy Bear) in the list view and once they view more details they can select the options (i.e. Size and Colour)? If so, think about all your products and let us know what type of options (i.e. Size, Colour, Flavour, etc) you require? Delivery MethodsHow do you deliver your products? We can set up multiple delivery methods such as Post, Courier, Pick up, Australia Wide, International, etc. How do you charge for freight for each of these methods? Here are some examples: - $14.95 base rate and free over $150
- $10 base rate and $16 when over 500gm
Payment MethodsHow do you want your customers to pay? You can accept multiple payment methods. Choose from the following list: Credit Card (recommended as only option as it is realtime) If so, check out these payment gateways and their charges and let us know which you would prefer: Stripe (recommended) SecurePay eWay Fat Zebra Mint MIGS (most banks use this system - contact your bank to discuss) Authorize.Net (USA based) PayDock (this essentially is a gateway to many other gateways like Stripe) Other Payment Gateways can be developed into the system but will incur an additional development cost. PayPal Alipay (Chinese version of PayPal) Buy Now, Pay Later ZipPay ZipMoney Cash, Cheque, Direct Deposit, BPay or Other (these you will need to manually reconcile so it is not recommended) We look forward to helping you get online and supporting you with your website management needs. |
